Q –  ”What happens if the Log in Clublog is deleted, will the IOTA QSO’s sat in the current update field be lost?”

R – The team inform me that accepted QSO matches are stored in the IOTA database so should your log on Clublog be deleted or changed then QSO matches in the IOTA system won’t be touched and remain safe.

Friedrichshafen 2016

The Friedrichshafen Ham Fair took place last weekend and photograps can be found by clicking here or the image to the left.

Friedrichshafen is an industrial city on the northern shoreline of Lake Constance in Southern Germany, near both the borders of Switzerland and Austria. It is the district capital of the Bodensee district in the federal state of Baden-Württemberg.

The Ham Fair is held here in June each Year.

Bahrain Amateur Radio Group (BARG) will participate in the IOTA Contest from Hawar Island AS-202 as A91HI. All documents submitted to the authority and waiting for approval.

Hawar Island AS-202 was activated for the first time recently this year, this will be the second activation only from AS-202. More details soon from Team Leader Fawaz Sulaibeekh A92AA

I was pleased to receive this card yesterday after quite a long wait.

Dorset Island, Nunavut, in the High Arctic (IOTA NA-156) was activated back in July 2015 as part of the RSGB IOTA Contest by Mike VE2XB.

Also known as ‘Kinngait’ in Inuktitut, this ancient artistic community has been inhabited by native peoples for three thousand years, Cape Dorset is situated on Dorset Island, adjacent to Foxe Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Baffin Island.

Harald (DF2WO) is back in Cape Verde.

He is QRV as D44TWO from Santiago Island, Cabo Verde (IOTA AF-005) from the 15th June for around one month.

Harald will be using a homebrew version of the G3TXQ Hexbeam and will be on 6 thro 30M using CW, SSB and Digital Modes (PSK-31, RTTY & JT65A).

Dindo and his team were qrv as DX0DX recently, a special call issued to them for the Telecommunications anniversary. the operated for their Radio Club on the main Island of the Philippines, Luzon, IOTA OC-042.

Qsl Card will be available in two weeks and is available via OQRS or Direct Post Mail.

”Earlier today, Dom 3Z9DX received confirmation from the North Korean government to make a return visit to P5 and operate amateur radio equipment for up to 5 days. The dates of activity are not yet known, but it will be at very short notice. Dom will be informed of dates just a few days beforehand – he will get his luggage and go.

It will be a single band operation, SSB only. Dom will update DX-World with more news as he receives it.”
